Our team from Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf was strongly represented at the EULAR 2026 Congress in London, contributing several oral presentations and poster presentations across clinical, translational, and basic research. The congress provided an excellent opportunity to share our latest work, exchange with international experts, and highlight the broad scientific activity of our team.

Oral presentations

Dr. sc. hum. Tim Filla “Longitudinal patterns of vascular, immune and fibrotic manifestations throughout the course of systemic sclerosis: Evidence from the German National Systemic Sclerosis Registry DNSS”

Ranjana Neelagar “Human Lung Organoids as a model of SSc-ILD”

Dr. med. Andrea-Hermina Györfi “Pathogenesis of primary heart involvement in systemic sclerosis”

Poster presentations

Dr. rer. nat. Yi-Nan Li “Spatial transcriptomics identifies phenotypic shifts in fibroblasts upon CD19-CAR T-cell therapy in systemic sclerosis skin”

Dr. rer. nat. Dennis Bleck “Niche-specific Phenotypes of Immune Cells in Immune Cell Aggregates in Systemic Sclerosis Skin”

Dr. med. Andrea-Hermina Györfi“ Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cardiac microtissues as a modeling and drug testing platform for systemic sclerosis primary heart involvement”

Bilgesu Safak Tümerdem “Spatial Proteomic-based Phenotyping of Muscle Stem Cells Reveals Heterogeneity of Muscle Stem Cell Niches and Perturbations in their Cellular Interaction Networks in Immune Mediated Inflammatory Myopathies”

We congratulate all presenting team members and thank everyone who contributed to these projects. We look forward to building on the insights gained at EULAR 2026 and continuing our research for the benefit of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
